Study in India

For centuries, India has been the global centre for Education. The education system in India is well established, organized and covers a wide spectrum of disciplines. More than 40,000 foreign nationals from about 100 countries are studying in India at any given time.  Choosing an Institute

  • Foreign students can also apply through Educational Consultants India Ltd. (Ed.CIL), a Government of India enterprise that facilitates admissions and is a one-stop window for foreign students.  Essential Criteria

  • For admission to all undergraduate courses, universities/institutes of higher education in India require candidates to be in possession of Higher Secondary/ GEC ‘A' level/any other examination equivalent to +2 stage of Indian qualification (12 years of schooling) with subjects related to their chosen area of study. However, for entry into diploma programmers, the qualification should comprise of 10 years of schooling.
  • Additional requirements, if any, are as per the course sought to be pursued.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India aims to facilitate admission in NITs/IIITs and other premier centrally funded institutions in India for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) in Engineering / Architecture / Planning and PG program in Management.
