Unauthorized usage, including by a foreign visitor, is an OFFENCE UNDER INDIAN LAWS . Any equipment detected is seized and holder prosecuted under the relevant laws.
Satellite telephone services can be accessed only after obtaining a No Objection Certificate from Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. Only Tata Communications Limited is permitted to provide Inmarsat services.
